About Me

I was raised in Saint Charles, Illinois. I attended undergraduate school at Northern Illinois University, where I continued into my graduate studies and obtained my Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. During my time in graduate school, I obtained an internship with the Department of Veteran Affairs where I went on to work as a Rehabilitation Counselor for 7 years before transitioning to working in private practice.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with experience working with adolescents, young adults, and couples who may need help with addiction, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, family and romantic relationships, career and life-transitions. As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, I have extensive experience working with the Veteran population overcoming barriers that are preventing them from reaching their goals and assist in developing positive coping skills and techniques to get through life’s challenges.

I strongly believe that a holistic and collaborative approach is critical in providing therapy. I utilize evidence-based interventions including but not limited to: mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).  I am always open to exploring different modalities dependent on the needs of my clients. Therapy allows for the opportunity to process thoughts and emotions to work towards personal growth and satisfaction. Every individual is diverse and unique in their therapeutic needs. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment that promotes self-awareness, self-advocacy, and empowerment while meeting the client where they are at in their journey.
