We treat a wide range of concerns experienced by children and adolescents.  We recognize that at times life can be difficult for children and teens. Various problems they might experience include, but are not limited to academic and learning difficulties, peer relationship issues and bullying, parental divorce and separation, ADD/ADHD, autism/asperger’s/PDD, grief/loss, school transitions, self esteem issues, depression, anxiety, OCD, behavioral problems and changes in family dynamics.  In the following pages, we provide a brief description of each problem and direct you to relevant internet resources for further and more detailed information where appropriate. Two websites that provide information on many of these issues are Information on Child and Adolescent Mental Health (National Institute of Mental Health) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Please remember that difficulties often overlap and that it is not important to “diagnose” your child or yourself before contacting us.
