About Me
Raised in Leland, Illinois, I served nine years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft maintainer, which provided invaluable opportunities to travel and connect with diverse communities around the globe. This is what really sparked my passion for advocacy and trauma-informed care. During my military service, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work from Grand Canyon University. This educational foundation propelled me into a career focused on helping others, notably serving as a suicide prevention coordinator, where I discovered how invaluable trauma work is to the mental health community.
After obtaining a Master of Social Work from Aurora University, I worked as a crisis specialist, conducting assessments for individuals in mental health crises. This role allowed me to provide tools, support, and vital information that help clients navigate their darkest moments and work toward a brighter tomorrow.

Transitioning into clinical therapy, I recognized the profound impact of trauma on clients’ lives. As a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner since 2021, I have witnessed the transformative effects of this intervention, helping individuals change their perceptions of traumatic experiences.
With a client-centered approach, I aim to walk alongside clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to empower them on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I’m commitment to long-term clinical intervention underscores the importance of addressing trauma as a key to achieving lasting change and well-being.
