About Me
I am clinically licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. (LCSW) I completed my Masters of Social Work at the University of St. Francis. Prior to being a part of LivingRite, I have experience in working in both residential treatment for addiction and co-occurring disorders as well as experience in other higher level of care facilities and outpatient programs.
I provide individual therapy, servicing adolescents typically starting at age 13 years through aging adults across the lifespan. My approach is client-centered. I also draw from empirically validated, evidenced based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive processing theory (CPT). I have received advance clinical training in exposure and response prevention (ERP), an evidence based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. I have experience working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, mood and behavior disorders, eating disorders, body image concerns, grief and loss, substance abuse, and other addictive behaviors. My work in this field is empathic, individualized, and inclusive. My values and my clinical practice is based on my belief that people are capable of meaningful change when they feel understood and supported. I believe that recovery is possible, even if not always linear. It is important to me to provide you with a safe space to feel empowered to make meaningful changes.
You are important and I am here to help you experience healing and growth. I believe in meeting you where you are, without judgment, and creating a space where you feel supported. My goal is to help you feel heard; while at the same time, building the skills and tools you need to create a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. Together we can work on individualized goals that reflect what matters most to you as you navigate life’s challenges.
