About Me

I am a licensed therapist with a diverse background in both public education and behavioral health. Having worked extensively as a school social worker, I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by children, adolescents, and their families. With a foundation in supporting students in educational settings, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and parents, helping them navigate a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

I have been a registered behavior therapist, which gives me the ability to provide a unique approach to therapy by integrating evidence-based techniques to address behavioral concerns, particularly for children and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This expertise allows me to work effectively with individuals and families seeking to manage symptoms, improve social skills, and create positive, lasting changes.

Areas of Specialty

I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems interventions to support clients in a compassionate, collaborative environment. Areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety & Stress Management: Helping clients develop coping strategies to reduce anxiety, manage stress, and improve emotional regulation.

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Offering individualized support for children and adolescents with ASD, including social skills training, behavioral interventions, and family support.

  • Suicidal Ideation & Crisis Intervention: Providing empathetic care and safety planning for individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts, focusing on immediate crisis stabilization and long-term emotional health.

  • Grief & Loss: Guiding individuals and families through the difficult process of grieving, including the loss of a loved one, relationships, or significant life changes.

  • Divorce & Family Dynamics: Offering support to individuals and families navigating divorce, helping to manage conflict, facilitate communication, and provide coping mechanisms for both parents and children.

  • Relationship Issues: Working with couples and individuals to address communication issues, intimacy challenges, and relationship building.

  • Life Transitions: Supporting clients as they navigate major life changes such as career shifts, relocation, or personal development, with a focus on resilience and adaptation.

With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I strive to empower individuals and families to gain insight, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and lead more fulfilling lives. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
