About Me

I was raised in Sandwich IL where I found great value in a small community. I didn’t stray too far from home when I attended undergraduate school at Northern Illinois University. I studied Rehabilitation Services and worked in a hospital setting. I witnessed firsthand the impact that mental health professionals had on those who presented to the hospital in emotional distress. These interactions motivated me to pursue my masters degree in Social Work which I received from Aurora University. I specialized in healthcare and went on to work in oncology, supporting individuals and families as they navigated the complexities of chronic illness and end-of-life care. My time spent in healthcare helped me develop experience with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and grief.

I currently offer therapy services to those seeking to improve their emotional health and well-being. I take a person-centered approach to therapy that allows me to individualize my client’s needs and goals. I find a collaborative relationship with clients is highly valuable and necessary to foster growth. I incorporate therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness.

Clients will find my office a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts and emotions as we work to uncover the best versions of ourselves.
