About Me

I am licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to LivingRite, I have worked for the past 6 years in a variety of community mental health settings. Through these experiences, I have serviced adults and adolescents in both office-based and school-based settings, and have facilitated groups based on client needs, such as parenting skills and anger management groups. Prior to this, I volunteered for the crisis hotline/NSPL of northern Illinois.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, and integrates qualities of person-centered counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), parts work, and art as therapy. I work with children through adults (eight years of age and up), providing both individual and couple therapy. I am trained in and can utilize Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist you in working through detrimental or painful emotions and experiences. I also utilize the Gottman Method with couples (level 2) to help build connection and friendship, navigate conflict in a healthy way, and build new meaning in relationships.

I believe that the genuine connection and collaboration between clinician and client is one of the most important aspects of therapy. As a clinician, I work to create a therapeutic space that feels authentic, non-judgmental, and supportive, as well as one that meets you where you’re at—I adapt my approach to best make sure your wants, needs, and goals of therapy are being supported and met.
