About Me

I am licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Prior to working with LivingRite, I serviced clients and their families within community mental health settings for 4 years conducting individual and group therapy. Prior to working in community mental health, I volunteered at various agencies that serviced adolescents in crisis, provided professional development courses to adolescents, and volunteered within an agency that provided hospice support to patients. Previously, I serviced patients and their families within an assisted living facility and provided support and education pertaining to the needs of older adults with neurocognitive disorders.

My therapeutic approach comes from an integrative Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and strengths-based therapy model. I provide therapeutic services to adolescents (age 14 and up), adults, and older adults. I provide therapeutic services to individuals and couples. I am Gottman Method Level 1 trained and utilize this method to help couples navigate conflict in a healthy way, identify shared meaning, and improve connection. My areas of clinical expertise include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, grief/loss concerns, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, interpersonal conflict, trauma, self-esteem issues, caretaker support, neurocognitive disorders (Alzheimer’s/dementia), co-occurring substance use concerns, parenting support, and postpartum/perinatal concerns.

I believe that therapy is most effective when therapeutic rapport is established between the client and the therapist. My treatment interventions are focused on collaboration, skill-building, and challenging maladaptive patterns. I focus on creating a supportive, honest, compassionate environment and my interventions will be uniquely tailored to your needs.
